University of Basrah organizes a seminar on the use of microwave in the preparation of organic annular compounds

College of Pharmacy at Basrah University organized a seminar on the use of microwave in the preparation of organic annular compounds and studied the biological effects of them.
The seminar presented by researcher Dr. Suha Katie Salal, explained the use of microwave technology in the preparation of new annular compounds derived from galcon compounds, as well as the preparation of chains of galcon compounds using conventional methods, the results of the comparison show that the methods of preparation using the microwave technology gives purer and rapid outcome in the completion of chemical reactions and is within the framework of green chemistry.
The seminar also showed that the prepared compounds showed great efficacy towards the bacteria and fungi used for the study of biological activity.
