University of Basrah publishes research in Acta magazine within Scopus containers

Dr. Hussein Jassim Sharif, a researcher at Palm Tree Research Center at Basrah University, published a scientific research entitled (the effect of salicylic acid and potassium nitrate on stimulating flowering of date palm trees by modifying hormones and the protein pattern within the agricultural magazine(AKTA) issued by the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and classified within the Scopus container, the magazine is concerned with publishing research and studies related to agricultural engineering and plant and animal production in two volumes annually.
The research aims to stimulate the formation of flower inflorescences in the date palm seedlings of the type (Al-Sayer), which suffers from delays in flowering due to environmental and salt stresses and their transfer them from the initial to mature stages.
The results of the research indicated that the use of salicylic acid and potassium nitrate within the concentrations (500 ppm and 1500 ppm) respectively led to an increase in the number of leaves and flower inflorescences as well as changes in growth rates (IAA, GA3, CK, and ABA) and the protein pattern.
