A journal entitled "Nota: English Newsletter" was published for students of the English Department of the Faculty of Arts at Basrah University.
The magazine aims at allowing students to invest their written energies and express their opinions.
The first issue of the magazine included various activities and various written styles such as articles, short stories, and poetry in English, in addition to student-teacher interview paragraphs, review books, and entertainment items.
Dr. Samer Taleb Daoud, the head of the English department stated that the current situation, with all its complexities, would unleash creative written capabilities
