Basrah University gains third rank in Iraq and sixth in Middle East in researches number

Basrah University gained the third rank among Iraqi universities in (URAP) classification for the scientific researches published in Scopus magazines, in addition to quotations.

Dr. Kazem Abdul Wahab Hassan, Director of Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, explained that Basrah University ranked third on Iraqi universities after Baghdad and Al Mustansiriya universities with (572) scientific researches published in 2019, that qualified it to maintain its presence in (URAP) classification, that includes (2500) University which relies only the research output of universities through research published in Scopus and classified journals.

It is worth mentioning that Basrah University leadership is determined to provide all capabilities for researchers to improve and increase both quantity and quality of scientific research in addition to supporting scientific journals.
