Board research was discussed in the College of Medicine, University of Basrah on evaluating the effect of hepatic pressure and negative legs raising on the dimensions of the right internal jugular vein via using ultrasound by the postgraduate student, Mr. Muhammed Jamal Jassim.
The research aimed at evaluating the effect of negative leg raising and hepatic pressure on increasing the diameter and cross-sectional area of the right internal jugular vein.
The research concluded that the hepatic pressure is significantly superior and statistically significant to the effortless leg raising through increasing the diameter and the transverse area of the right internal jugular vein, especially in adult males without any regard to the age and weight.
