In cooperation with the College of Medicine, Center for Continuing Education, University of Basrah delivered an online lecture on nutritional aspects in treating of types 1 and 2 diabetes via FCC Platform, the Faculty Member in the Center, Dr. Salman Kadhim Ajlan said.
Dr. Ajlan added that the online lecture reviewed the nutritional aspects of diabetics, the distribution of sugar and carbohydrates in the blood, the amount of fruit to be taken to maintain the diabetic balance and avoiding excessive sugar that negatively affects the patient.
Dr. Ajlan continued by saying that the online lecture highlighted the importance of nutritional aspects in diabetics, how to determine the amount of insulin to be injected into the blood and how to burn sugars and convert them into carbohydrates.
